I am a Sentimentalist.
Crayon & Keepsake is inspired by my loved ones and their messages and drawings given to me over the years. My sentimental love affair began in my teens, but cemented when I got one of my first tattoos – my grandma’s last name in my mom’s handwriting. So, when my daughter began those adorable first drawings, it naturally evolved into wanting to bottle up those memories forever. I started finding ways to freeze those drawings and find unique ways to display them in my own home, and the idea for this passion project was born.
I have evolved from focusing on kids drawings to include (and adore) working with special pieces of handwriting. I rebranded from Mini Memories Co. in 2026 to reflect this growth from drawings to all manner of special messages. Taking special handwriting and finding a unique way to display it in your everyday life is my favourite thing to do. I believe that the handwriting we recognize from our loved ones creates a visceral reaction when we see it – and connects us to the people we love or miss in our lives.
My logo itself is the writing of the three women that have been my source of inspiration for this business. “Crayon” was written by my daughter, “Keepsake” by my mother and the “&” is from my late grandmother’s handwriting. I love looking at this logo and knowing its from the women (and girl!) who inspire me in all that I do.
You won’t find any Artificial Intelligence around here. I hand edit each piece of handwriting with care and morph those pieces into something you can see every day. Getting to sit with your special handwriting is one of my favourite things to do!
